No Win No Fee Debt Recovery

No collection, no commission commercial recovery

Recover overdue business debts without an upfront collection fee

Rezolva provides professional business debt recovery through a success-based model. If the amicable instruction does not produce a recovery, collection commission is not charged, subject to the agreed service terms.

When a qualifying commercial account is placed through Rezolva Connect, late-payment interest and recovery costs are added under the selected contractual or statutory basis. If those recovery costs are collected from the debtor, they are used to cover our commission. The client receives the recovered principal and any interest recovered.

A more accurate description of no win no fee

No collection, no commission - with a route to a cost-neutral recovery

"No win no fee debt recovery" is the phrase many businesses use when comparing collection agencies. Rezolva uses no collection, no commission because it explains the commercial arrangement more precisely.

01

No recovery

If no money is recovered through the amicable instruction, collection commission is not charged, subject to the service terms.

02

Money recovered

When money is recovered, the agreed commission becomes payable. UK recovery is normally 12% and international recovery managed through our UK office is normally 15%.

03

Recovery costs collected

Recovered collection costs are applied against Rezolva's commission. When they cover it in full, the core recovery service is free to the client in net terms.

The important distinction: No collection, no commission protects the client from collection commission where the amicable instruction produces no recovery. Cost-neutral recovery goes further, but depends on the added recovery costs being legally supportable and actually collected from the debtor.
What Rezolva Connect adds at placement

Interest and recovery costs are dealt with from the start

Rezolva Connect adds late-payment interest and recovery costs when a commercial account is placed. This makes the amount being pursued clear before recovery contact begins.

The client confirms that the debt arose from a business transaction, is not a consumer debt and selects the contractual or statutory basis relied upon. Rezolva reviews the account before debtor contact because recoverability can depend on the contract, the parties, the transaction and the available evidence.

Where the statutory basis applies, the review considers the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and the applicable Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013. A contractual basis may apply instead where the trading terms contain their own effective remedy.

1

The principal

The original overdue commercial balance is returned to the client when recovered.

2

Late-payment interest

Any interest successfully recovered is also returned to the client.

3

Recovery costs

Recovered collection costs are used to satisfy Rezolva's agreed commission.

4

Any shortfall

If recovered costs do not cover the commission in full, the remaining commission is dealt with under the agreed terms.

What is separate

Success-based commission does not make every recovery step free

The core amicable recovery model and separately authorised legal or third-party expenditure should not be confused.

Legal and court action

Letter Before Action work, court issue fees, solicitor charges, enforcement fees and insolvency procedures may be separate. Rezolva explains the route, likely cost and risk before seeking authority.

International third parties

Local agents, translators, tracing providers and overseas lawyers may charge case-specific fees. Any material expense is explained before it is incurred.

Direct debtor payments

A debtor may pay the client directly after instruction. That payment must be reported promptly and is treated under the agreed service terms because it forms part of the instructed recovery.

No win no fee debt recovery FAQs

Questions businesses ask before placing a debt

Is no win no fee debt recovery the same as no collection, no commission?

The phrases are often used for the same type of success-based arrangement. Rezolva uses no collection, no commission because it explains the model precisely: if the amicable instruction does not produce a recovery, collection commission is not charged, subject to the agreed terms.

Does Rezolva add interest and recovery costs when a debt is placed?

Yes. Rezolva Connect adds late-payment interest and recovery costs when a commercial account is placed under the selected contractual or statutory basis. The client provides the transaction information and confirmations, and Rezolva reviews the basis before debtor contact.

Who receives the interest recovered from the debtor?

The client receives any late-payment interest successfully recovered, together with the recovered principal. Interest is kept separate from the collection costs used to cover Rezolva's commission.

Can debt recovery be free to the client?

Yes, in net terms, where the collection costs recovered from the debtor are sufficient to cover Rezolva's agreed commission. If only part of those costs is recovered, that amount reduces the commission cost to the client. Recovery of principal, interest or costs cannot be guaranteed.

What happens if no money is recovered?

Collection commission is not charged where the amicable instruction produces no recovery, subject to the agreed terms. Separately authorised legal, court or third-party expenditure may still be payable.

What happens if the debtor pays the client directly?

The payment should be reported to Rezolva immediately. A direct payment made after instruction is dealt with under the agreed service terms because it is connected with the recovery instruction.

Does no collection, no commission include court action?

No. Court fees, solicitor charges, enforcement fees and other approved legal expenditure can be separate. No formal legal step is taken without the client's authority.

Can several unpaid invoices be placed as one debt?

Yes. Where several invoices form one overdue commercial account, provide the full statement, total outstanding balance, relevant references and oldest invoice due date. This normally gives a clearer recovery picture than placing each invoice in isolation.

How do I start a no collection, no commission recovery?

Create a free Rezolva Connect account, enter the creditor and debtor details, provide the total balance and oldest due date, and upload the invoices or statement. Rezolva reviews the instruction before recovery contact begins.

General commercial information: The recoverability of interest and recovery costs depends on the account, contract, transaction, parties, evidence and applicable law. This page is not legal advice and does not guarantee any recovery or legal entitlement.
